This song was presented to us by our good friend and talented producer DJ Kemit (one half of Kemeticjust) from Atlanta back in 2017 and we immediately love the song for it’s structured groove and powerful and meaningful vocals beautifully performed by Jill Rock Jones. Proving to be a big hit and having people rocking on our dance floors.
Now here in 2019, the message remains the same and is still very relevant, WAKE UP & STAND UP is the title of this song and we have added a new remix done by none other than Kai Alce from NDATL Muzik who has done a magnificent job and is number 1 in this weeks Soulful house releases!

Stephanie Cooke is a singer/songwriter whose roots are based in urban Newark, NJ. Born and raised there, she grew up in church like many in the music industry, and found her beginnings in the choir and in small groups as she developed her singing and arranging skills.For much of the past 20 years she has made her home as an artist in dance music recording songs on many labels around the globe. And to this day, still provides us with music that inspires, uplifts and enriches the mind, heart and spirit.

Trailblazing a brand new world with a captivating spirit, Angel-A delivers a brave fusion of jazz with the soul stirring inspiration of gospel. Taking her cues from Sarah Vaughn, Billy Holiday, Gloria Estephan, and Sade, Angel-A owns the style and sophistication of a 1950’s retro couture collection. Few producer, songwriter, vocalists in this time dare to embrace pure form and express messages of substance to a wider audience. Angel-A creates a cool space for listeners to experience.
Performing both original Jazz standards and soul compositions, serenaded audiences with her smooth style and charismatic flair. Following our very successful 100th release party at LP inside the wonderful Curtain Hotel in Shoreditch back in April, we are excited to head back there on Saturday 13th July for a very exclusive event.
We are proud to present the London edition of the 10 th anniversary of one of the top underground dance labels in the States, NDATL Muzik which is headed up by Kai Alce. Kai is a tremendous dj and prolificproducer that has released countless quality productions over the years. Kai celebrated the US editionof his anniversary last weekend at his Movement weekend party, Deep Detroit with Kai and Derrick May playing all night.
Kai has a hot forthcoming remix coming on the Makin’ Moves label plus a single featuring in the coming months which we’re very excited about and look forward to him showcasing on the night.

And has now teamed up with the very talented singer Angel-A!
