MAKIN196 – Reggie Steele & Dawn Souluvn Williams “Vulnerable”

Native New Jersey producer/songwriter Reggie Steele embarks yet again on Makin’ Moves with his next release in 2023. This elegant tune has been in the makin’ for sometime, however it’s been well worth the wait. “Vulnerable” is the latest instalment from Reggie which he yet again displays his songwriting and performance on vocals over hypnotic beats and chords. This also sees him working alongside Dawn Souluvn Williams who also is no stranger to Makin’ Moves. The combination makes this one extra special as they both lock into the groove that will grasp the ears of many on the dancefloor to make you move. Enjoy.

Available exclusively via our Bandcamp store on 15th September 2023 -

Vocals written and performed by Reggie Steele & Dawn Souluvn Williams

Mastering by Clinton McCreery

Executive Producers : Jamesey & Matt LS

Makin’ Moves x Happydaes presents David Harness Friday 13th October @ Rolling Stock

Following a fantastic summer of parties at Grow in Hackney Wick, Makin’ Moves stay east for more fun times as we head to Rolling Stock in Shoreditch for more memorable nights for 2024! This venue has had a serious make over including a phat new upgraded sound system.
On Friday October 13th, we are excited to join forces once again with the lovely Happydaes crew, for a very special event as we bring over David Harness – their San Fran star and one our favourite djs, this time for an exclusive 4-hour set.
Last year Harness joined us for the sell-out Carnival Happydaes collaboration, bringing the house (and dancefloor) down and we can’t wait to hear him play again for this exclusive London date. David runs the underground Moulton Music label in his home-town of Oakland and is a pioneer of the deep house and classic garage sound from the West Coast of America, respected globally with countless residencies and radio shows dating back to the early 90’s.
Joining David on the night will be the MM residents Matt and Jamesey who will be celebrating their 11th anniversary. The boys continue to push the scene forward in London with their unique brand of soulful and deep house!
In room 2 “The Bunker” we’re excited to welcome DJ Vital who will be dropping a classic house n garage vinyl set!  There’s a number of £10 available for this event so get them fast otherwise get there early.

MAKINEP012 – Makin’ Moves Unreleased Mixes EP (inc Ezel & Yoruba Soul Mixes) Vinyl Edition

Finally the while has been waited. These two unreleased mixes have been on many DJ’s radars for quite sometime now. And we are proud to present to hallmark producer / musicians to bring you this exquisite vinyl. First up on the A side, originally produced by Atl’s Kai Alce. we bring you the Ezel Remixes which all instruments are played by the maestro himself. With Dezaray Dawns infectious vocals that automatically gets you hooked and will have you groovin’. Also an added bonus solo Trumpet mix curated by Ezel.
Side B also consists of a classic and timeless vocal performed by British singer songwriter Lavonz. Having the pleasure of re-releasing the original track on Makin’ Moves, we had the legendary Osunlade re produce the track and the outcome simply amazing! Keeping the essential elements of the vocals, yet bringing his authentic Yoruba Soul Sound which organically works for the any dace floor. And adding a bonus club mix for the basement setting for the early hours.
