MAKIN059 – Jose Carretas feat Chenai Zinyuku – It Could Be

West London producer Jose Carretas is back with another hot single again teaming up with the stunning Chenai Zinyuku once again!

Jose came up through the restless soul stable, mentored by Phil Asher and has been producing and remixing for almost ten years now with various releases on labels such as Slip n Slide, Quantize, Tribe aswell as on his own Son Liva imprint.

Chenai Zinuyku is one hell of a talent! We’ve been working and developing this young lady for the past 3 years and are very excited about her forthcoming album dropping early 2017. She’s currently performing backing vocals for synth pop band Hurts who are blowing up all over Europe but likes to lend her song writing to some deep house music.

MAKIN058 – Sheldon Goode ‘You’ (Mark Francis Remixes)

Makin Moves are proud to bring you the fresh Mark Francis remixes of Sheldon Goode’s summer hit ‘You’. ‘You’ was released as a single this summer and received a lot of support from many of you guys and we appreciate that!

We’ve had Sheldon’s buddy from New Jersey Mark Francis take things up a notch on the remix and the early reactions are very good. Mark Francis learned his trade as a DJ and producer from the maestro Timmy Regisford. In the last 2 years Mark’s hard work has really pushed him to the forefront of the New York house scene and can be heard playing at various clubs around the US and Europe. In the studio he’s been busy working with the likes of Mike City and a whole host of remixes.

A native of Newark, NJ Sheldon Goode is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer and engineer. He’s a one man show when it comes to the recording process. Sheldon has worked with Elton John, Whitney Houston, Patti Labelle, Naughty By Nature, Lords of The Underground, Donnell Jones and a long list of the who’s who in the music biz.

We’re very excited to welcome two new international friends to the label, producer Fuminori Kagajo from Japan and Sheree Hicks from Chicago.

We’d always admired Fumi’s work for some time and were a big fan of his quality productions. When he got in touch and said he’d done a track with Sheree Hicks we were even more excited! The original version oozes class, tight production and exceptional singer/song writing from Sheree.

Sheree has been on fire this year with a whole host of tracks released on labels such as Honeycomb music, POJI Records and her own label Chic Soul Music and on this release she doesnt disappoint.

The package also features Uk’s Wipe the Needle on remix duties. Lee Gomes aka Wipe The Needle doesnt do many remixes but we felt he could work the song in a different way and boy has he done that and pretty much created a new song!

Last year we dropped his infectious Where U R record that went onto be a real success both on club dance floors and on radio.

Fresh for the summer Makin Moves present the Adam Rios remixes of Sure Thing. A track produced by our good friends from Paris Greg Gauthier and Alex Finkin, and beautifully written and sung by Atlanta’s Miranda Nicole.

We released this track back in the spring of last year, and has been a favourite of ours from the catalogue. Adam Rios from Shelter in NYC also took a liking to the track and requested the parts for a remix and now you can hear the results of his fine work!

MAKIN049 – Ian Friday ft. Mike City – Never Gets Old

Makin’ Moves welcome Brooklyn producer and dj Ian Friday and singer song writer Mike City to the label with ‘Never Gets Old’ a love song ripe for summer.

Both live on opposite sings of the USA with Mike hailing from LA so having wanting to work together for some years the guys linked up last year and this is the result! Mike writing this beautiful song and ian jumped in the lab and came up with some of his trademark beats.

Both Ian and Mike have had solid releases this year and are both on the crest of a wave with the house music community so its really a perfect combination.

Makin Moves are proud to present the hot Zogri remixes of ‘God With Me’ written and sung beautifully by Carla Prather. The original production by The Soul Creative aka Salvatore Oppio, Tony Maione, DaSouL, Lello Cacciola which came out earlier this year.
Zogri hails from Athens in Greece and has been a big house music fan for many years. Inspired by the likes of Louie Vega and Joe Claussell.. His productions and remixes are full of soul and energy and we’ve been loving his interruption of the original and has been very popular at our events and on the Makin Moves show on House FM.

MAKIN047 – Wipe The Needle ft. Lifford ‘Rise Up’ (Kai Alce Remix)

Rise Up was one of our most popular played releases of last year and is still getting alot of radio support from the likes of Solar and Mi Soul Radio. Produced by Wipe The Needle aka Lee Gomes this man has a great last 12 months and is on fire right now with his club smash Found You.
We felt there was another remix in this song so we enlisted the help of Atlanta’s main man, Kai Alce who’s also been doing some amazing productions. Kai runs the NDATL Muzik label and has creating a real storm recently working with some fantastic artists including Miranda Nicole, Emdee Brown and The DangerFeel Newbies on Defected Records a new sound that we really dig and we’re very pleased with this particular remix he’s done for us.

MAKIN045 – Aisling Iris ‘He Lover’ (includes Crackazat Remix)

Aisling means “dream” or “vision” in Gaelic, It’s also the birth name of this particular Irish song writing vocalist living in London.

Her lyrics and voice have been described as possessing an almost conversational intimacy, with a smooth contralto that she deftly wraps around the melodies, swooping up every so often to a lilting jazzy falsetto.

Aisling has worked with some of the top names in the soul, hip hop and jazz world including Roots Manuva, Domu. More recently she has worked with the likes of Phil Asher and the Urban Soul Lab.

Hey Lover was a track she wrote and recorded some years ago with one of the original Bugz in the Attic producers Afronaut, one of the original broken beat pioneers. This is a match made in heaven, Orin working his technically wicked drums and Aisling’s sexy haunting vocals tempting you over the top, works like butter on toast. The vocal twists you up and get you salivating for more.. We can certainly see this this one being played on dance floors all around Europe from Croatia to Ibiza.

The package comes with a hot dubby Crackzat remix, which cleverly uses the chorus loop to the max with deep keys and punch to get the floor moving straight away,

Currently she is recording her debut album at the Lab Studios in Clapham with Drew set for release in 2016. For those not in the know Drew is the producer and musician behind Incognito’s Natalie Williams and Mercury nominee and UK hip hop godfather Ty’s prolific output to date.

It looks like 2016 is set to be an exciting year for Aisling with a debut album on the horizon and the right team around her. One thing’s for sure you don’t want to miss sampling a taste when the album’s released.
