Gianluca Pighi is deep. The Italian DJ/Producer is dedicated to music further than a hobby or even a career. The lifetime obsession Gianluca has to finding the perfect beat is only comparable to true love. He grew up on Public Enemy, The Temptations, Deodato and Barry White and by 14 he was mixing on pirate radio and by 17 he was getting paid to play music at parties.
Massimo Paramour is a musical prodigy. After studying music formally for many years, Massimo dove into the club scene of Italy, carving out a space for himself as a consistent professional. During a trip to New York in the early 2000’s, he met Ahmad Larnes and convinced the vocalist to travel to Italy for work. There they met with Gianluca and had immediate musical chemistry. This was how the three magic pieces came together for the magical single, “The Well”–Gianluca’s technical expertise, Massimo’s musicianship and Ahmad Larnes’ voice.
Makin’ Moves is proud to present this gem, appropriate for clubs and intimate listening. Deep and brilliant, “The Well” packs a natural, continuous energy. Ahmad’s voice adds light to the driving drums and heavenly synthesizer, carrying the listener on a voyage. The centerpiece lyric of the track, “my love is deep just like the well,” is a simple metaphor that carries power. The love of another, the love of music, the love of artistry, true love goes deep to replenish the soul.
Also featured in the package are some hot remixes from BKNY’s Tyrone ‘Mixologist’ Francis from New York taking things more deeper and ready to bring you up at 6am as the sun comes up!
