Makin’ Moves is a London-based label and party rooted in deep, soulful and Afro-influenced house. It’s become a trusted name in the scene, bringing people together through quality music and dancefloor connection.
They’re kicking things off in the early evening sunshine with soulful vibes from 6pm on the terrace, courtesy of Christina Rosetti and Leopold — both selectors well respected in London’s soul and disco circles. Expect deep digs and feel-good grooves as they work through their extensive vinyl collections.
As night draws in, the party moves indoors to the club space, where Matt and Jamesey take over with their signature blend of fresh releases and timeless house cuts from the Makin’ Moves catalogue. Joining them for a very special set is Masaki Morii, flying in exclusively from Japan to bring his distinctive mix of soulful and Afro house rhythms right through till the early hours.

Following our incredible last collaboration back in June, Makin’ Moves join forces once again with London dance collective Indahouse for another jam on Friday 4th October as we head south of the river to Market house in Brixton, a venue we are familiar with as our good friends over at Mi Casa have had some great nights there, with its wooden floor and state of the art sound system.
Come join us straight from work as the event gets underway at 8pm with our house dance work shop hosted by Indahouseuk, before we hit the floor later for the main event, the 2vs2 all styles dance contest which sees dancers teaming up to win the big prize of £200 + Makin Moves goodies!
Presenting the DJs playing throughout the evening, and then the after party from 11pm, we have one of our most exciting line ups to date which sees Makin Moves residents Matt & Jamesey joined by Coflo flying in from San Francisco for his debut gig in London!
Coflo Ferreira is not just a DJ, but also a dancer, and producer who was born and raised in the East Bay Area of California. Founder of Catch The Ghost Records and proud member of the Soulshifters artistry collective. Through the years, Coflo has travelled the world learning, teaching, and performing dance. He has won many international tournaments of “House Dance” and is known for his connections to the artistry collective “The Soulshifters” as well as the legendary dance crew “Circle of Fire.” As his time in the study and practice of American “club dance” has continued to mature, his love and dedication for music have also matured. Coflo began studying music theory and the arts of “house music” production. Now, some 8 years later, Coflo has had remix releases on deep, soulful, and afro house record labels: Soso Deep, Ocha Records, and King Street.
