Makin’ Moves return for their first party of 2016, taking place at a cracking new space called ‘The Woods’ in the heart of Shoreditch on Saturday 26th March. The team has been busy working on more great releases for the label and setting out their event plans for the year ahead.

The Woods is located below Reds True Barbecue, a fantastic dark low ceiling hidden basement venue, the perfect space to dance away and loose your inhibitions to the sounds of our residents Matt L-S and Jamesey playing all the latest Makin’ Moves releases hot off the press!

Not only do you get to hear the guys spin but it’s a totally free event so we are expecting to see you all in the house for this one!

A charity fundraiser for our community – For the Love of Money.

Qube Project (Formerly Pacha, Victoria SW1)

Dear friend

As you know our good friend Owen Money has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer and despite him being brave and upbeat the doctors say that he is gravely ill.

I for one do not want to lose this special individual whose children has recently lost their mother to this terrible disease.

I want to do something to help him get the best holistic treatment available as Owen is adamant that he does not want chemotherapy.  

I have managed to secure the Qube Project in Victoria free of charge & would like to put on a fund raiser to ensure Owen is looked after on this journey of his.

Owen is a well loved member of our community and deserves better than the hand he’s has been dealt.

If you’re an artist / dj I would like to know if you are able to donate an hour of your time to support this worthy cause to give him a night to remember. ( we have secured some top names so far full line to be released soon). Calling all ravers all we ask is to purchase your 12.50 or 15 ticket to donate to a worthy cause 

The date has been set for Friday 18th September which is actually one week before his birthday which is ideal. 

Owen is a huge fan of the music of Glenn Underground and there is a track which will lend itself to the name of the night

DUE TO UNFORESEEN ISSUES WE’VE HAD TO MOVE NEXT WEEKEND’S PARTY FROM THE PRINCE OF WALES IN BRIXTON TO CARGO IN SHOREDITCH.

We’ve used Cargo many times in the past as a venue and its perfect for us to stage this size of event so everything moves ahead as normal just a change of venue.

The event is going to be huge with a live PA from the legend Leroy Burgess who will performing his latest hit ‘Let’s Do It’ produced by Louie Vega and we’ve also got a guest dj flying in from Chicago who’s name we will be announcing next week but he’s known for his vinyl house and disco sets!

Summer is finally here and we know its not summer in London without a Makin’ Moves party! We’re pleased to announce a series of outdoor sunday afternoon events taking place in Shoreditch and Brixton over the coming months.

Summer Sessions Part 1 kicks off on Sunday 28th June at the awesome Cargo terrace in the heart of Shoreditch. Jamesey and Matt L-S our residents will be joined by some of our favourite djs and friends playing deep/soulful house through to soul, boogie and disco for 9 whole hours!
