Makin’ Moves welcomes Lavonz!! Glad to be releasing this timeless piece that never had a full digital release which was sought after by many. The British singer-songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist & DJ who was raised in a home recording studio. As a child, he induced a natural sense for music and expressed a keen interest in musical instruments together with sequencing, drums, piano, keyboard, bass guitar and Akai samplers which were all part of the new exciting education in tuning an accomplished ear for music.

Makin’ Moves 10th Anniversary – Part 1 – Saturday 7th May @ 93 Feet East

London based Makin’ Moves present the first in a series of events to celebrate their 10th anniversary at the awesome 93 Feet East, the perfect venue with fantastic outdoor space and state of the art sound system in the club!
This first event on Saturday 7th May sees residents Matt and Jamesey joined by two of the UK’s most respected deep house dons Freerange Records label boss Jimpster as well as Atjazz, that’s true deep house royalty in the house!
Martin Atjazz runs the very successful Atjazz Record Co label that concentrates on his productions and collaborations. He has also been a prolific remixer throughout his 20-year career, reworking and partnering on releases for artists across the globe. The list of which is as impressive as it is comprehensive: Nitin Sawhney, Bob Sinclar, Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova, The RAH Band, Karizma, Osunlade, Zed Bias & Omar to name but a few (even being requested to rework Henri Mancini’s ‘The Pink Panther Returns” for EMI Records).
It’s been a big year for producer, DJ, remixer and label boss Jimpster. 2021 saw his Freerange imprint celebrate 25 years – an astounding achievement as the label and its owner further cements their legacy for a quarter of a century without showing any signs of slowing down. Odell, under his Jimpster alias, has become one of the most revered Deep House artists out there today, so it’s easy to see why labels including Sonar Kollektiv, Razor-N-Tape, Foliage, Z Records and Soulfuric were all eager to get a piece of the British maestro.
Both men recently played a unique “Back To Back” set together at Spiritland on London’s Southbank and we’re excited to reunite them again alongside Matt L-S and Jamesey for this very special event.
The event starts at 6.30pm with our good friends Mucho Soul kicking things off in style as we welcome people for some good quality pizza and cocktails  and then we move into the club and dance until the early morning.
This is the first of four special events to celebrate this milestone at the awesome 93 Feet East in Brick Lane!

We keep Spring/summer heat coming as we drop the fantastic new remixes from Merecumbe Soul’s head honcho Doug Gomez! ‘Cast In Your Spell’ taken from the Past, Present & Future EP courtesy of Steal Vybe & featuring one of the most truly amazing soulful talents in the dance scene to date, Singer/Songwriter Monday Michiru.

The project was inspired musically and lyrically from past icons, the changing of times and life as we know it. Worldly issues abroad, and embracing the coming of the unknown.

The name of this EP was given and based off the different elements and styles of each track, hence the feel takes you back to the past and brings you to the present, while journeying to the future and imagining and exploring its” new prosperities to come.

 Makin’ Moves founders Matt Langrish-Smith (Matt L-S) and Jamesey celebrate their 10 year anniversary this summer, a huge milestone for the friends who came together in the summer of 2012, wanting to breathe new life into the deep/soulful house scene that they both loved growing up and thus far have managed to stay consistent throughout delivering a unique party that has unified the soulful dance scene across generations during this period. Ten years on and this is just the beginning as they are planning a whole host of exciting events for their 10th anniversary this year at 93 Feet East in Shoreditch!

Their first event kicks off on Friday 8th April with residents Matt and Jamesey headlining alongside local cohorts djsoulproyder and Kengo from 4tothefloor plus Mi Soul’s Martin Lodge spinning tunes in the courtyard from early evening! If your keen on Makin moves early then there’s an all styles dance battle taking place from 7-9pm with house and disco theme hosted by D-Lo with a £100 cash price for the winner!

Expect quality cocktails and handmade Neapolitan pizza flowing early doors, as the sun dips below the horizon as we then pick up the pace in 93’s main dance space until the wee hours and you can be a part of this exclusive free event by grabbing a ticket from RA
