MAKIN222 – Wipe The Needle x Venuz Beats x Shezar x Jaybay “We Shall Overcome” (Frankie Feliciano Remixes)

Wipe the Needle makes his long awaited return to the label along side his latest cohort Venuz Beats with “We Shall Overcome”. The original of this song was our 200th release at the back end of 2023 and now we’re back with fresh news remixes from NYC house music dj / producer Frankie Feliciano, supplying that customary NYC underground sound.On vocals is hackney-born soul siren Sherelle “ShezAr” McKenzie truly a three soul sister of the 21st Century and a well seasoned force within the UK music scene alongside her sister Jaybay! ShezAr went all the way to the knock outs on the UK’s version of The Voice in 2020 gathering more fans along the way.

Both girls deliver an awesome vocal performance and a positive lyrics in testing times for us all.

We’ve been excited about getting Frankie back on a mix for us and he doesn’t disappoint in true Feliciano style!

Makin’ Moves aim to blow away those January blues as we come of the gate with a delicious piece of peak time deep house from Massiande and Oliver Night!Massinade has become one of the most captivating talents South America has produced for authentic House music. Growing up as a profound and dedicated fan of Soul, Jazz and Disco in his native Chile; discovering House, a genre that connected these genres’ roots with electronic experimentation, was a life turning point. After stating djing in 2007 he got into production and released his first track in 2013.

Since then he’s gone on to release music notable underground labels such as Ibadan Records, Stay True Sounds, not forgetting his “Dancing Is Life” EP on Freerange Records last year.
Here he provides an anthemic deep house groove setting up Oliver Night who sublimely delivers his charatheristic deep vocals that hook you in and won’t hold you back from hitting the dance floor this winter!
Oliver has worked with some fabulous labels including Tru Thoughts and Co-op and we welcome him to the label for his debut!Music, produced, arranged and mixed by Massiande

Makin’ Moves Xmas Party @ Kizuna – Saturday 28th December

We’ve had a really busy year of events starting back in January in Dalston at the Earth Kitchen and now we finish back up in a brand new venue, Kizuna in Brick Lane! Matt and James have guested as DJ’s there in the past and really like the intimate vibe it has and quality wooden dance floor and acoustics! We want to welcome all of you that have supported us this year to come together for one big final event on Saturday 28th December and shake off all that Christmas excess!
Joining the boys will be some extremely talented turntablists who are having a big imapct on the scene!
DJ Kojay is an ever-present name on the London circuit, building momentum as one of the exciting names on the scene.
With performances at Corsica Studios, Jumbi Peckham, Hootenanny Brixton and Tola Peckham to name a few, Kojay’s versatility shines through his diverse mixes, with influences from jazz and RnB, right through to deep house and jungle breaks. Kojay is also known for his killer radio slots, with appearances on Soho Radio, Refuge Worldwide, AAJA, and most notably Balamii Radio. His last set for us at Grow in May blew the crowd away!
Also, we welcome Soulquest head honcho Max Sinal for his debut at Makin’ Moves the main man behind the talented duo 2Fox who’ve had some great records out this year. He’s busy currently working on his debut album project and cant wait to hear some of those unreleased gems on the night!

Three of London’s premier house promoters come together for one final finale to end 2024 with bang!  4TTF, Rehab & Makin’ Moves join forces to bring you a special day and night event on Saturday 7th December. In the day join djs playing at the all day free event at BBE Store in London fields from 3pm!

Then from 9pm we move over to the after party at the awesome Shoreditch Basement venue with excellent sound and dance floor to keep you moving till the early hours!

Don Pascal and Tom Funk come together to drop this real hot slice of deep house this autumn on Makin Moves! “Back To The Deep” is a homage to old school deep house as the boys gained inspiration from the likes of DJ Deep and Kerri Chandler to create a baseline banger for us!

Also, as part of the package , Laroye laces and flips the original mix with a serious drum dub mix for the early morning dance floor which undoubtedly sets the tone!!

Makin’ Moves take over the marvellous BBE store in London Fields on Friday 18th October for a totally FREE event to showcase future music forthcoming on the label featuring residents Matt and Jamesey alongside some of our close friends in the London house music scene.

Following a top set for us in May down at Grow, we welcome Kojay from a busy summer ! Also, flying in from Edinburgh for an exclusive set will be Powdersoul!  Finally, last but not least Joe Brown joins us from Toronto for a one off London apperance!

We’ll have some special 12′ purchases available to purchase plus merchandise aswell, grab a hoodie for winter!
