We like to nurture new talent here at Makin’ Moves and we appreciate great song writing as well as hot productions. We are pleased to be working again with the very talented Sheldon Goode. Last year we dropped his infectious Where U R record that went onto be a real success both on club dance floors and on radio.

He’s back with his new song You, and it has all the hallmarks of a classic soulful house cut, with infectious chorus, hook and signature driving deep house beats perfect for summer time!

A native of Newark, NJ Sheldon Goode is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer and engineer. Hes a one man show when it comes to the recording process. Sheldon has worked with Elton John, Whitney Houston, Patti Labelle, Naughty By Nature, Lords of The Underground, Donell Jones and a long list of the whos who in the music biz. Fresh for the summer Makin Moves present the Adam Rios remixes of Sure Thing. A track produced by our good friends from Paris Greg Gauthier and Alex Finkin, and beautifully written and sung by Atlanta’s Miranda Nicole.

We released this track back in the spring of last year, and has been a favourite of ours from the catalogue. Adam Rios from Shelter in NYC also took a liking to the track and requested the parts for a remix and now you can hear the results of his fine work!

Makin’ Moves welcome Brooklyn producer and dj Ian Friday and singer song writer Mike City to the label with ‘Never Gets Old’ a love song ripe for summer.

Both live on opposite sings of the USA with Mike hailing from LA so having wanting to work together for some years the guys linked up last year and this is the result! Mike writing this beautiful song and ian jumped in the lab and came up with some of his trademark beats.

Both Ian and Mike have had solid releases this year and are both on the crest of a wave with the house music community so its really a perfect combination.

It’s great to finally come out of winter and with Spring almost here we’ve got a fabulous release that will put a bit of sunshine into all our lives as we’ve been excited about this one for quite sometime! 

UK songstress Nina Provencal is back and we’re pleased to have her follow up single ‘Come Over’ which she wrote many years ago and then was reproduced by Jihad Muhammad from New Jersey in classic Jihad style. It’s been a big track for Jihad at his parties in New Jersey and also on our Makin Moves dance floors for over a year and now with many people asking about it.

Nina’s had two releases with us in the past ‘Breakdown’ in 2012 and probably one of our biggest releases too date was ‘Soul Saviour’ which came out at the end of 2013, which again saw Nina and Jihad collaborate and that one just took dance floors by storm worldwide. 

This follow up is very much in the same vein, classic smooth Jihad Muhammad beats and keyboards, brilliant song writing from Nina, put that all together and you’ve got a sure fire soulful house hit.

Makin’ Moves kick off 2016 in style with a fantastic colaberation with one of the best soulful voices on the planet, Kenny Bobien out of New Jersey. We’ve always loved Kenny’s work over the years including “Father”, “Rise Above The Storm”, “Brighter Days” plus many other timeless classics so we jumped at the chance to work with him.

The track was actually originally produced some years ago but on hearing it being played by our good friend Gianluca Pighi (the producer of the track) last year we decided it just had to be released. The track bears all the hallmarks of a classic Kenny Bobien song, one filled with energy and positivity alongside quality production from Pighi.

The package is now remastered and comes with mixes from Kenny Carpenter who’s having very much of a renaissance and also Italy’s Luis Radio for never fails to disappoint with NYC Shelter inspired mix. 

New Jersey’s Kenny Bobien is one of the most widely recognized male singers in house, but he doesn’t fit the image commonly associated with underground dance music. Kenny is a Singer, Songwriter and Producer and as well as being a Pastor at his church, Bobien is a dedicated family man and the father of a large family.
